THE POWER OF WORDS
According to the NEW LEXICON WEBSTERS DICTIONARY,word is defined as a speech sound or combination of sounds having meaning
and used as basic unit of language and human communication. Meaning that word is very important in communication in the human
world, but word here also refers to sound with meaning.
This definition explains what word is, and it is directed to the human world. It is true and clear but you should accept
the fact that man defined this definition. That is why I would want us to see if we can define this same word directed to
the spiritual world- meaning that for the nest few minutes of reading this brief book you should see the word 'word' in a
spiritual view. I believe that at the end of reading you should be able to know the power behind the words we speak out, and
how we can use it to affect our life positively.
Word has long been in existence even before the creation of the world, John 1:1. Everything you see around you today was
created by the spoken word. The spoken word is powerful and fearful, and from Genesis to Revelation in the bible there are
some scriptures that talks about how powerful the spoken words are, and most importantly how we can make it effective in our
lives.
Spoken words are not meant to be misused; they mean a lot in the spiritual realm, they are active and very fast in operations.
Genesis 1:3 is a simple example of the powers behind the spoken word, NOTE: It is the power behind the spoken words that
brought light to the earth and it is same spoken words that God used in creating the heavens and the earth.
After the creation of man God breathed into man's nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul, Genesis 2:7.
Then God brought all the living creatures to man for man to speak a word to each and that word would be the name, Genesis
2:19, 2:23, then man had nothing to say, there was no dictionary or book of different names, man just said a word to each
creature and that spoken word remains the name of all creatures on earth today. To understand better take a good look at the
names of animals, each name is unique and powerful, example Lion, Bird, Snake, Pig etc.
Have you ever wondered where words go after being spoken? Of course we know word comes out from the mouth and they go
straight to where they are directed by the spoken word. Words depend on the mood of the person for its actions - when someone
is angry the more dangerous his words will be, and the spoken words at that moment will be very active towards what it is
directed to. So you must be very careful with your words when you are angry because any word you say may be very dangerous
and the end result is not always handsome.
Ezekiel 37:1-10 explains better the powers behind the spoken word. God always wants us to speak, Matthew 7:7, Acts 2:21.
There are several forces in the spiritual realm that waits patiently for us to speak. When we pray, as we speak there is a
power that transfers the spoken words to God in heaven, and that power is in the name of Jesus. When we conclude our prayer
we say in Jesus name, but some people make mistakes by saying through Jesus name. So anytime we speak out our words are carried
away by the name we use, and sometimes we are not aware that we speak in names. Every creature or object in this life has
a name: for example, if you say to someone "You are mad!" in the spiritual realm madness is a name of a spirit and
it will carry the spoken words on its head to whom it is directed to, and before you know it that person may start behaving
like a mad person. More names of other spirits are: love, sadness, happiness, peace, goodness, mercy {Psalms 23:6} etc.
Let us again take a closer look at the scripture above (Ezekiel 37:1-10), this scripture is powerful and here lies the
solution to all problems. It revealed the secrete that the spoken word can change any situation. If spoken words can bring
flesh to dry bones and life to the dead, it means that the solution to any problem depends on the spoken words, isn't it wonderful?
So when ever I am having any problem I can just speak to it and the problem will flee with fright, HALLELUYAH!
Now that you are aware of the powers behind the spoken word and how it can solve your problems, the spoken words can also
cause problems and dangers to someone's life. And that is why this book was written: to help us use the spoken word in the
appropriate way.
Proverbs 18:21 warned us and made us aware that our tongue is powerful, so that before we speak out we should purify our
words within first. The scripture also told us that we can cause death with our own mouth; that is why we must not curse,
that is why our words must be blessing and good words at all time. When we are angry instead of us to curse we should pray
instantly and tell God to take control, and if we mistakenly curse we should use that same mouth to change the curse to blessing
immediately and end it with a prayer - praying that God should intervene. We should wipe off curse from our mouths so that
what ever we say may be a blessing to our lives and someone's as well.
As a child of God the word 'curse' or any bad word is not in your dictionary but abundance of good words that will change
someone's life totally.
As a child of God you know for sure that when you speak out your father in heaven must surely respond to you. You know
that He is the All sufficient one, The mighty man in battle, The lion of the tribe of Judea, The healer etc., so when you
speak out to yourself saying:I shall not die, I will be successful, I will not sick, my family and I must prosper, we are
all blessed etc., there is boldness inside you because you know the God you serve, and to tell you the truth that is where
boldness, success, everlasting grace and peace comes in, and the spoken words you prophesy to yourself always must surely
come to pass in your life.
I hope I have been able to illuminate you a little about the powers behind the spoken word and my prayer is for you to
always use your words to bless yourself, family and neighbors. Your first exercise is for you to think and thank the lord
for your life, tell the lord to forgive you and change those words you have already spoken out of ignorance (all your previous
bad words you have made towards your friends, family) to blessings. And after that begin to bless yourself with your words
and don't stop. Bless yourself everyday - without ceasing. Say good words to your family always and even when they do you
wrong bless them. If you are poor say you are rich, if you are weak say you strong, if you are down say you are up, change
your situation with the words you speak. Bless your parents, brothers, sisters and friends always, and always thank the lord
in all situations, learn how to say "thank you lord!" at all time, no matter the situation give thanks. And I tell
you at the end of the day your words will make you proud.
May the good lord help us to purify our words before we speak them out in Jesus name.
This book was constructed out of self-inspiration.It is written because I want us to be aware of the powers behind the
spoken words, also for us to know how we can use our words to solve our problems, bless ourselves and others as well. And
now that you are aware please spread it to your love ones and God will richly bless you.
You can spread it by emailing or by using your mouth.
If you have any contribution please contact me. God bless you.

IF GOD WAS MAN
If God was man
The creation of the world would have been a day job,
The heavens would share its place with no one,
Man's blood he would prefer as sacrifice.
If God was man
Hell would have been wider than its size,
He would forgive but forget not,
Satan would have been chained long time ago.
If God was man
The name of Jesus would be strange;
Those that killed him would have perished with him at that spot,
Jesus wouldn't have had the guts to say, "I am the way, the truth and the life."
If God was man
Life would be available for sale
And heaven would be a touring centre.
Woman wouldn't scream when delivering
And man wouldn't labor for daily bread.
